Dr. Papytcho Ntambwe

Dr. Papytcho Ntambwe is an anesthesiologist consultant and intensivist at the Livingstone Central Hospital in Livingstone, Zambia.

Dr. Papytcho received his undergraduate degree in medicine from the School of Medicine, University of Lubumbashi. After working for a few years as a general practitioner, Dr. Papytcho realized the importance of safe surgery as a key to fight perioperative mortality but was struck by the critical shortage of anesthesia providers in the region. He then completed his residency in anesthesia at the University of Nairobi where he graduated with a master’s degree in Anesthesia. Following the completion of his degree, Dr. Papytcho went on to complete his fellowship in critical care at the Christian Medical College in India.

Dr. Papytcho is a part-time lecturer at Mulungushi University and a clinical trainer for Gradian.
