We are pleased to announce our partnership with Harvard Medical School’s Program in Global Surgery and Social Change (PGSSC). Gradian Health & Paul Farmer Global Surgery Research Fellow.  Led by the Dr. Yihan Lin with supervision from PGSSC’s director, Dr. John Meara, this partnership will focus on deepening the work of the Lancet Commission on Global Surgery and serve as a multifaceted approach to global surgery research.

Dr. Yihan Lin, the partnership’s inaugural fellow, is a surgery resident at the University of Colorado, a Paul Farmer Global Surgery Research Fellow, and a Masters of Public Health candidate at the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health.  Dr. Lin is dedicated to increasing surgical access and quality in developing nations, and has prior field experience in Haiti, Uganda, and Ecuador.  Her research interests are in surgical education in low and middle income countries, as well as the role of appropriate and functional equipment in these settings.

We hope to post outcomes from Dr. Lin’s research here as it becomes available.
